This is not a regular frame, more of an insert, it's constructed from the remainders of a double bladed chop saw (the middle bit). The center hole has no lip, only straight sided. The frame can be put into a board, box, cabinet, door, pedistal base?etc so the outside edges lay on top of surface. See 2nd & 3rd photo.
 
Gold gilded with thick textural design, don't like the color? paint over it.
Outside measures 4-3/8 x 4-3/8 x 1-7/8" deep (approx.  1-1/8" will be above surface and 3/4" below)
Center Inside 3/4 x 3/4" 
Should fit into a 3-7/8 x 3-7/8" opening.
May want to touch up if needed.
